The face behind Individualized Visuals
Hi! Thank you so much for being here!
My name is Kristi and I am the founder of Individualized Visuals. I have 12+ years of experience working with wonderful individuals with special needs. I currently work in the school board as a Child & Youth Care Worker, teaching students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 with Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome and Autism. And yes, they are ALL in the same class. To say we have a chaotic class of diverse learners is an understatement :P But I love the chaos (most days lol)
I discovered my passion for creating resources for teachers when I was an Intervention Support Worker. As an ISW I would travel from school to school to provide support and suggestions for educators with challenging students. It all started with making individualized activities and behaviour supports that incorporated the student’s unique interests. & has now EXPANDED to creating adapted books, task cards, lessons, file folders and more! I simply love what I do, and I feel so blessed to be able to share my activities with other teachers and educators ♥
When I’m not working, you’d often find me knitting a sweater or crafting a new DIY with my Cricut machine! I am married to my best friend, Tim, and we are expecting our 1st baby in January 2024! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope we can continue to get to know each other more!
